STRUCTURE
The polyester fabric is extremely permeable and solid, can not be influenced either by bending under construction nor by the pressure difference that is created during operation, and even from the maintenance. The cotton filter, instead, presents a plot dependent on the overlap and the number of employees layers; in more tends to deform during the phases described above: consequently it will have in areas with high filtration and other value with mediocre value.
POLYESTER
The filter element consists of polyester filaments 5 microns in diameter, braided to generate a mesh of 80 microns. The fabric obtained (it a single layer is used) is extremely homogeneous and compact, able to retain all the significant particles allowin , for a very large air passage.
STRUCTURE VIEWED BY MICROSCOPE
The procedure for cleaning the filter is extremely easy and fast: just use a jet of air in the reverse direction with respect to the suction direction to remove most of the debris retained .
No need to wash the filter, then the drying step it is not necessary allowing the immediate replacement. Only in case of fouling or high dirt from heavy use of the motorcycle you can use an ordinary detergent: soap, shampoo, even gasoline.
This quick degreasing before blowing guarantees the total restoration of the filter performance.
A final simplification : the P08 filter is not oiled !
