During braking, the brake pads play an extremely heavy work: in fact convert the energy accumulated by the vehicle into heat, generated by friction between the same pads and the brake hose. This energy depends on the weight and speed, and in some cases, when that comes off decisively, reaches higher power. For this reason it is essential that the choice of the rubber composition during the brake pad change, due to normal wear and tear rather than for performance reasons, and is weighted to reflect the type of use of the motorcycle and the rider’s driving characteristics.
